The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has released the two-wheeler sales figures for January 2025 and here are the top 5 best-selling bikes in India:
Hero Splendor

The Hero Splendor continues to be the best-selling bike in the country. Its sales grew by 29.5% compared to December 2024 and 1.6% compared to January 2024. The Hero Splendor has always been India’s favorite two-wheeler. It offers a perfect blend of mileage, reliability and adorable styling. The Splendor never received extensive design changes, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing as customers prefer the familiarity of the Splendor’s design. Hero is said to be updating it with features to keep it modern.
Honda Shine

Honda Shine is second on the list of best-selling bikes. It saw a spectacular 48.9% growth in sales compared to December 2024. And in January 2025, sales grew by 20.9% compared to January 2024. Shine has consistently been the best-selling 125cc bike in India. It has been praised for its excellent performance, reliability and mileage. Recently, Honda has updated the Shine with some new features along with OBD-2B compliance. This will help it gain an even larger market share.
Hero HF Deluxe

The Hero HF Deluxe secured the third position in the list of best-selling bikes. Its sales grew significantly at 39.5% in January 2025 as compared to December 2024. But the current sales figures are down by about 23.5% as compared to January 2024. The HF Deluxe uses the same engine as the Hero Splendor, but has different styling and slightly different proportions compared to the Splendor. Most importantly, the HF Deluxe range also includes the Hero HF100, which is the cheapest Hero bike in India.
Bajaj Pulsar 125

The Bajaj Pulsar 125 range consists of the Pulsar 125, NS 125 and N 125. It was able to secure a respectable fourth position in the list of best-selling bikes. However, its sales declined by around 17% in January 2025 as compared to December 2024. But on comparison, the sales figures in January 2025 were 36.5% higher than January 2024. The Bajaj Pulsar 125 series is the most affordable way to join the Pulsar family.
Despite having multiple bikes in the same segment targeting different audiences, the sales numbers are still just a fraction of the Honda Shine figures.
TVS Apache Series

The TVS Apache RTR series includes the RTR 160 2V, 160 4V, 180 2V and the RTR 200 4V. Sales saw a commendable 49.2% growth in January 2025 compared to December 2024 and a 10% growth compared to January 2024. The TVS Apache RTR series offers customers a variety of sharp looking, feature-rich sporty commuter bikes in the 160 cc, 180 cc and 200 cc category. In fact, the RTR 200 4V gets segment-first features like adjustable suspension and even riding modes.
